Alen was born from a poor family, had a dream of becoming one of the officers of Teo McDohl. Alen made his dream come true, becoming a member of McDohl's Armored Cavalry, along with his colleague Grenseal.
Alen had black hair (rendered as dark-blue on his sprite) and wore white armor with a red cape. His weapon of choice is a sword.
Alen, much like Grenseal, would have given his life for Teo and would do anything to honor his wishes. This even applied when they didn't hesitate to join the Liberation Army, as per the request Teo made with his last words.
As Tir's ally, Alen remained cool-headed and serious, a contrast to his friend Grenseal, and remained loyal to Tir's cause even after the war, where he worked as a councilman for the new Toran Republic that emerged in the old Empire's place.
During the Toran Liberation War, following the duel between Teo and Tir, Teo received a lot of damage and died as a result. He and Grenseal carried out Teo's dying wish, and served Tir until the end of the war. After the war, he was appointed as Co-Commander of the Republican Guard.
During the Dunan Unification War, Alen was present when an alliance was forged between the New State Army and the Toran Republic. He stood beside President Lepant with Grenseal as co-commanders of the Republican Guard.
