- The Japanese name for this dish is あんにんどうふ, which is 杏仁豆腐 in kanji. It is sometimes written as annin tofu or almond tofu. It is jellied dessert made of apricot kernel milk, agar, and sugar. Despite the name being "almond tofu" it contains neither "almonds" nor "tofu."
- It has the same Japanese name as the Annindoufu from Suikoden II.
