This orchid is a very rare flower. Its only known growing location is in the Floating Garden in Gregminster, the Imperial gardens. During the Toran Liberation War, when Windy used her magic to artificially put the dragons of the Dragon Knights to sleep, the great doctor Liukan asked for some Black Dragon Orchid in order to create an antidote to cure them. Upon hearing this, Futch decided to fly there with his dragon Black and get some.
Upon landing in the garden, Futch encountered Barbarossa who was kind enough to let him leave with the orchid, but not so much for an angry Windy who cast a spell of lightning towards Futch and Black, while they were in the sky. Stricken, Black fell from the sky and broke Futch's landing, saving his life at the cost of his own.
The antidote could finally be completed, with Moonlight Weed and Black's liver mixed with the Orchid and the dragons awakened short after.
