Blacksmiths (鍛冶屋, Kajiya) is a type of profession in the Suikoden series.

They are the people who forge any weapon you bring to them and, in the case of Suikoden IV and Suikoden Tierkreis, they can also forge armor. They generally do so inside a Blacksmith Shop. They can also embed rune orbs or rune pieces on a weapon. The price rises with the level of the weapon or the type of armor. In most cases they can level your weapon up to level 16 with the right hammer, which the highest level in the game. In case of Genso Suikoden: The Woven Web of a Century, money is not paid as a fee when forging weapons, but it requires certain ingredients, depending on what kind of upgrade the player would like to give to the weapon. Most Chiko Stars are working as blacksmiths in your headquarters.
