Books can also be used as weapons in the series. They first appeared in Suikoden II and then later in Suikoden V and Genso Suikoden: The Woven Web of a Century. In Suikoden II and Suikoden V this weapon is automatically equipped on Nina and Alhazred, while in Woven Web they can be found in treasure chests or be bought in equipment shops.
