The Cave of the Past (過去の洞窟; Kako no Doukutsu) is a location in Suikoden.
Overview[]
A cave located north of Qlon Temple. The temple was rumoured to hide a secret and Fukien, the head monk at Qlon, revealed that a way to defeat Neclord was hidden in the cave. Allowing Tir and his companions to enter the cave, At the end of the cave they found the Celestial Sword the incarnation of the "Rune of Night," one of the 27 True Runes. Upon being awoken, the sword transported Tir and his party some 300 years into the past when the Village of the Hidden Rune was attacked.
In the cave there are some strange looking walls which hides a secret passage that leads you to chests that contain valuable items like Hugo's War Scroll and Window's Window Rune. You can also find Crowley, a legendary mage said to have housed 100 runes within his body in his pursuit of mastering rune magic. He has isolated himself from the world hidden in this winding system of caverns. The Old Book Vol. 2 is also hidden in this cave.
