Childerich is a major antagonist in Suikoden V.

Childerich was a member of the assassin group called Nether Gate, as a member he received a high quality training. He played an important role in the Godwin takeover of the Queendom of Falena.

Childerich had uncontrollable desire to kill or maim others and he enjoyed watching people die.
Story[]
Game[]
Before the Sun Rune War, Gizel Godwin choose him as his champion for the Sacred Games. At the Sacred Games, Gizel is willing to eliminate anyone who could possibly defeat Childerich in order to win. When the Godwin attacked the palace, he and Dolph attacked Freyjadour Falenas and Sialeeds Falenas but Kyle and Zegai fought them to give time for Freyjadour and Sialeeds to escape. When he learned that Lyon a former Nether Gate assassin became Freyjadour's body guard he laugh.
Later, even if General Bahram Luger and Alenia objected, Gizel still made him as a Queen's Knight. During the battle in Doraat, General Bahram sacrificed himself in order for General Dilber Novum and Childerich to escape.
Childerich and General Dilber Novum were stationed in Stormfist, where Childerich set traps for Freyjadour. Childerich successfully ambushed Freyjadour and his party, but Sialeeds used the power of the Twilight Rune's, killing all the Godwin's Soldiers around the arena. Childerich survived the attack and wanted to kill as many people as possible. So Childerich drank Raging Nostrum, a drug that gives incredible strength to human. He was later defeated in a duel either by Freyjadour himself or Richard, Belcoot or Zegai, and he then died painfully from the effects of the drug.

Trivia[]
- During the events in Doraat, Chiderich replicates Luca Blight's famous quote "Die Pigs!" when he kills some of the villagers here, the quote is not present in the Japanese version of the game.
- Childerich can kill Roy during the duel.
