The Cyndar Ruins (シンダルの遺跡; Shindaru no Iseki) are a location in Suikoden III.
Overview[]
It is a large labyrinth located on the Ancient Highway. They are first seen by Hugo in chapter 2 when the Destroyers are attempting to gain entry to them. According to Sarah the doors to it are lock by a powerful magic left by the Sindar which she refers to as their technique. Later after the True Fire Rune has been revealed and Yun sacrifies herself to protect the seal, the seal is broken by Luc. Inside the Ruins is the True Water Rune, left there by Wyatt Lightfellow years ago. When Hugo and company enter the ruins the True Water Rune starts to go berserk and begins freezing the whole area.
After Hugo and his company defeat a Water Dragon (possibly left as a trap by the Sindar) they catch up with Luc and his group. By then Jimba who arrived to reclaim the True Water Rune had already been fatally wounded by the Destroyers. However with the prospect of fighting off such a large group, Luc and his group fled. Not long after Jimba revealed his true identity to Chris and she ended up inheriting the True Water Rune.
