Dilber Novum is a minor antagonist in Suikoden V.

Dilber is a general of the Godwin's Army and he is also known as "Dilber of the West", for being an extremely skillfull soldier. There is a professional rivalry between him and General Boz Wilde.
Dilber’s devotion to Lord Godwin dates back to the invasion of Falena by the New Armes Army in 441. While in the middle of a battle, Dilber got baited out before the main force with his unit and was surrounded by Armes forces. He would have been killed if Lord Godwin had not broken the ranks with the Stormfist Cavalry and charged the Armes lines to allow Dilber to escape at the cost of many Stormfist soldiers. This led to Dilber feeling indebted to Godwin and made him Godwin's staunchest ally ever since.

During the Sun Rune War, Dilber didn't questioned Childerich recruitment as a Queen's Knight, while General Bahram Luger does. He join forces with Freyjadour Falenas to defeat the Armes soldier on the second battle of Rainwall. He also participate in the second assault of Lelcar and on the Doraat defense, Bahram dies helping him. After this he was station at Stormfist with Childerich on his side, Freyjadour steps on the Stormfist and Dilber protect the castle but on their battle he was mortally wounded and died. But before he died he told the reason why he defending the Stormfist is because Marscal Godwin's wife, Rosalind Godwin's body was rests in the castle. At the end of the story, Dilber appears along with Bahram and Marscal thanking the Prince silently.
