The Double-Beat Rune (かえし刃の紋章: Kaeshi Yaiba no Monshou), sometimes written as (返し刃の紋章), also known as Double-Jab Rune in the HD remaster, is a type of rune in the Suikoden series.
Description[]
It allows the user to attack twice per turn. The only drawback is any counter-damage received when missing each strike is doubled.
This rune grants the power to make weapon attacks faster, allowing the user to attack twice in a row during battle. It’s one of the precious runes that exhibits tremendous power in combat.
Suikoden I[]
When a Double-Beat Orb is attached to a character in Suikoden, it becomes a Double-beat Rune. One such Crystal is attached on Eikei and can be removed and transferred to another character via a Runemaster.
- Double attack - allows the user to attack two different targets per turn (only if there is more than one enemy in the battle), but any counter-damage received is doubled.
Suikoden II[]
The Double-Beat Rune can be found as a drop from CutRabbit and WhiteTiger (these enemies will disappear after certain story events).
- "Attack twice DMG x 2 if counter"
- Allows the user to attack the same enemy twice, but any counter-damage received is doubled.
