Ducks are a race which appears in Suikoden III.

Although similar to normal ducks, members of the sapient Duck race are much larger and much more intelligent. The only notable duck habitat is the Duck Village where the Duck Clan resides. Although close allies with the Karayan and Lizard Clans, the Ducks tend to be generally less combative and keep to themselves. This is part is due to their geographical location in the Grasslands, where they are surrounded by other clans who provide an effective buffer against enemies.
Because of the Ducks relations with their neighbours, Duck Village is a more permanent dwelling and thus reflects a more mercantile status amongst the other races. The Duck Clan is led by a mayor rather than a chief. Despite their more scholarly nature, Ducks are no strangers to combat and are skilled combatants and use halberds as their primary weapons (an interesting note is that all Duck Clan halberds' blades are in the shape of a fish, hence implying it may be their favorite food).
Hugo, the Flame Champion, received much of his training from Sgt. Joe of the Duck Clan. During the course of the Second Fire Bringer War, the Ducks provided as much support as they could to the Grassland-Zexen side as possible. Although their leader never officially joined the army (unlike the other clans), many from the Duck Clan took up arms to help protect the Grassland.
