Edgar is a character in Suikoden Tactics.
Profile[]
Background[]
Edgar is Kika's boyfriend, and a member of Brandeau's crew in the years prior to the Island Nations War. Edgar tried to assist Walter with his investigation of the rune cannon, only to die in the tragedy that unfolded on the ship of the pirate Steele.
Appearance[]
Edgar has black, wavy hair and possesses a chin curtain. He is dressed in a flamboyant garb while wearing a black cape and red boots.
Personality[]
Compared to the other pirates, Edgar seems a tad more suave and sophisticated, having easily gained the affections of Kika and also seeming trustworthy enough to gain the life-long trust of Brandeau and the other pirates. He is head-strong and stubborn, a trait he visibly shows with Kika when he tells her that he's going after Steele.
Story[]
Game[]
As Hervey and Sigurd duel following their ship battle, they are suddenly attacked by rune cannons of the pirate Steele. Steele sinks the ship, causing Hervey, Sigurd and their men to be caught up in a shipwreck. Suddenly, another ship attacks Steele and his men, revealing itself to be led by Edgar, Kika and Brandeau. After causing Steele to retreat, Edgar goes back to the Nest of Pirates, with an unconscious Hervey and Sigurd in tow.
Walter and his group decide to confront the pirates to ask them about Steele and his mysterious rune cannon. Edgar decides to assist Walter with locating Steele and subsequently eliminating him in the process. Much to Kika's reluctance, the group finally finds themselves aboard Steele's ship.
As Edgar, Brandeau and Walter's group defeat Steele's pirates, Steele decides to use an unusual rune cannon on Walter, effectively turning him into a Fishmen, whom Andarc is forced to kill in front of Kyril. Taken aback by the sequence of events that have just unfolded, Edgar and Brandeau continue to defeat Steele's pirates with much conviction, prior to Steele unveiling his mysterious rune. A large blast emanates from Steele's rune, causing an explosion that savagely wounds Edgar and leaves him to pass away in Brandeau's arms.
Brandeau then proceeds to deliver Edgar's body to the Nest of Pirates, so Kika could mourn his death.
Trivia[]
