The Forest Village (森の村, Mori no Mura) is a location in Suikoden II.
Overview[]
Forest Village is located in the northwestern part of Greenhill Principality, surrounded by dense forestland. The climate is slightly cooler than that of Greenhill City, owing to its proximity to colder zones. The primary industry is agriculture and the population was 1,400 before the outbreak of the Dunan Unification War.
The village hosts a thriving trade market, with a notable focus on fur trading, attracting many merchants from nearby regions.
Local lore speaks of griffins, mythical creatures said to inhabit the area, adding an air of mystique to the village. Additionally, the surrounding forests are home to numerous flying squirrels, making it a prime destination for wildlife enthusiasts. Visitors are encouraged to embark on flying squirrel-watching adventures during their stay.
Several forest guardians, most notably Ayda, protect the forests surrounding the village. Several griffins live in a valley to the west of the village, but attacks on the town are rare.
