Unites in Genso Suikoden: The Woven Web of a Century work differently than in previous installations of the game. Instead of doing a special attack, grouping certain members together will give you certain bonuses, such as increasing strength or intelligence.
Grouping characters together will also open up the command to work together, which is similar to free will in previous games. Having characters together will give you a bonus if the next character also attacks the same enemy.
How to[]
In order to use unites, you will need to arrange it under the battle planning menu.
To get to that menu, press START. It should be the third option from the top (just under equipment). In the next menu, you will see two options: Party Organization (Formation) and Cooperation (Link) Settings (Configuration).
You will need to arrange the unites you want to use here by placing characters together (putting characters under another one). The order does not matter.
You can arrange characters in any combination you want, but only the ones listed below will give you some extra benefits.
