Goesch is the Chitou Star in Suikoden V.
Profile[]
Background[]
Goesch is a farmer and because of his love for his town Lordlake, he chose not to abandon it after it was scorched by the Sun Rune.
Appearance[]
Goesch is wearing a green/brown/yellow poncho, brown trousers and boots. He is also wearing a big strawhat for sun protection. He wears his red hair in a red braid. As a weapon, he carries a big, wooden club.
Personality[]
Goesch can best be described as unwelcoming when first met. Since the incident with the Sun Rune, many people from Lordlake are on hostile terms when regarding the royal family, and Goesch is no exception. However, his rowdy behaviour changes when the Prince shows him that he is able to take matters in his own hands and destroys the Hatred Fortress. Afterwards, Goesch is very supportive of the Prince's actions and lets a more easy-going personality of himself show.
Story[]
Game[]
Before the Sun Rune War, he sourly unwelcome Freyjadour and his party when they went to Lordlake, but when the Loyalist Army planed to destroy the Hatred Fortress for the restoration of Lordlake, he helped them. After the Hatred Fortress was successfully destroyed and the water was back in Lordlake, he joined the Loyalist Army along with Talgeyl, Toma and Dr. Silva. As a member he stayed at the Ceras Lake Castle and helped Freyjadour to fight the House of Godwin. He also took care of the vegetable in the farm. After the war, he steps into Talgeyl's old role as mediator of Lordlake politics. His youthful spark inspires everyone.
Role in the Game[]
Joins automatically after the restoration of Lordlake.
Goesch open a farm and grows crops at your castle.
Goesch is arguably the hardest hitting medium range fighter and combines a good amount of qualities to be the man for that job. While you can certainly bring other characters that deal more damage than him, he has his personal skill, Mow Down, which makes him damage entire rowes of enemies. He also has plenty of HP and can equip heavy armor on every body part, making the use of the Crazed Rune/Power Rune less deadly for him.
Goesch is lacking in all things magical though and his technique skill makes multiple hits less likely than on other characters; he also maxes out at two hits.
Overall, Goesch is a row-hitting powerhouse, with good damage and good defense, but he lacks versatility and is in the highly contested mid-slot.

- Goesch is a young farmer from Lordlake. He's a real leader among the youth.
- He loves Lordlake more than anyone, but he's sensible enough not to let those feelings get the better of him. Word is, he even stayed out of the uprising two years ago.
- Since the uprising, Lordlake's youth kept wanting to storm Hatred Fortress, but Goesch always talked them out of it. He didn't want to lose more friends in vain, he said.
- The Barows Family Dog
Sure, he explained everything. Sure, we understand now. I'm still furious. Well, soon enough, we'll see just how ready for this he really is.
- The Barows Family...
To tell the truth, I wanted to smack him, but I held back.
