Suikoden II
During the Dunan Unification War, after the fall of Muse to Highland, he and Jess have gathered five thousand soldiers including the soldiers who escaped from Greenhill and Muse as well as citizens who wanted to join and came to Tinto to join forces with Mayor Gustav. Jess formulated a plan to attack Neclord he ordered Hauser to give the signal to move out Hauser obeyed it without a question regardless of the fact that it's a risky plan, Hauser obeyed Jess' orders claiming that as long as Muse exists he will follow the rules of Muse. He and Jess return to Tinto with only a few soldiers remaining. Jess surrenders his position as Acting Mayor of Muse to Fitcher. Jess suggests to Hauser that he joins the army since Fitcher is there. Hauser along with Jess then joins Riou on his fight against Highland Army.
On the final battle and Shu's suicide mission, Hauser led the unit over the left flank. The intention was to make the enemy go after Shu's unit. The Highland Army fell into the trap and Hauser's unit along with Riou's attacked the Highland Army resulting their defeat.
After the war, he became the commander of the Dunan national army.
