A bard who lived in the Port City Navarre. He loves the sea from the bottom of his heart. Playing songs while looking at the sea is his raison d'ĂȘtre, rather than saying it as a mere hobby.

Needing a boat to continue unraveling the mysteries of the Telluspharma and the Holy Aionian Empire, the Hero ended up in Port City Navarre after asking for help from Sau Jin in the past. The Hero and his party were looking for the Tree of Ages when they found Jansen at the fishing area playing a song to the sea. When he noticed the Hero, he was happy to see someone wearing colors that were the same as the sea. He said that he lived in the town so he could watch the sea. He also became a musician to offer his songs to the sea. He then said that there used to be things called boats that people used to move on the water. He continued that there was a theory that the pier they were standing on used to be a place for boats. He felt that he his dreams would be fulfilled if boats were real.
He told the Hero where he could find a tree that seemed to match the description of the Tree of Ages. After traveling to the past and convincing a shipbuilder to hide a boat for him, the Hero traveled to his time. He met Jansen again, and it was reveled that Jansen was the descendant of that shipbuilder. Playing a song to remove the obstacle hiding a secret path, he lead to Hero and his friends to the boat.

As a playable combatant with the class of a bard, he is able to acquire all six techniques available for bard class. If the player increases the relationship between him and Modi, he will get the sub-class as a Medic and learn its skills.
