Jewel is the Tentai Star in Suikoden IV.
She is also a playable character in Suikoden Tactics.

Jewel is a native of Na-Nal Island, and was a member of the Gaien Knights.

Suikoden IV[]
Jewel left her native Na-Nal at a young age after a disagreement with the Na-Nal Island Chief and settled on the island of Razril.
During her time on Razril, Jewel enrolled to become a Knight of Gaien where she would meet Razro, Snowe Tal, Paula and Keneth. During training she developed a crush on Snowe, and would often be teased by her fellow trainees.
After Razro was accused of murdering the Commander Glen Cott, Jewel either leaves with him on his exile or stays on Razril, depending on the player's choice during the training period in the game, and joined Razro after Razril is liberated.
Following the conclusion of the Island Liberation War, she remained in Razril for a while before returning to Na-Nal.
Suikoden Tactics[]
During the events of Suikoden Tactics, King Lino En Kuldes sent her, along with Paula and Selma, to aid Kyril, and they joined him at the Small Border Village.
She was happy to be reunited with some of her old friends and was impressed by the development of Keneth. She promised to visit Razril after the Rune Cannons were destroyed.
Role in the Game[]
Before starting on your first mission, you can choose two of the four Razril Knights. If you choose Jewel, she will join. If not, Jewel will join automatically when liberating Razril.

It's my homeland, but... Oh, I'm sure you knew. It's a hard place to live. The island Chief is an awfully pesky old man. That's why I left as fast as I could and came to Gaien to join the Knights.
Isn't it great that Snowe was all right? After all, we were friends, you know?
Jewel, Paula and Selma join you automatically after Kyril's third turn during the Small Border Village battle in Chapter 16.
