Before the Gate Rune Wars, Kimberly did work making small crafts and forging Imperial seals. Even though she's illiterate, she has a great attention to detail, making it possible for her to reproduce the seals with great accuracy and skill. Mathiu advises Tir to enlist her help, as well as Tesla the scrivener, in order to make counterfeit orders to get Liukan out of Soniere Prison. As a condition to offering her help, Kimberly required that Flik have a private drink with her. While the seal is reproduced perfectly, it was really an older seal, which ends up alerting Milich Oppenheimer to the plot during the jailbreak.
During the war, she fought alongside Tai Ho and Yam Koo as part of the "Fishermens." She grew fond of Tai Ho's easygoing nature during the war, and after its conclusion, she reportedly moved into Tai Ho's home as his self-proclaimed wife.
With Kun To's help, however, Tai Ho eventually manages to escape her by fleeing to Jowston with his brother.
Other than a high skill and luck stat, she's very vulnerable and weak as a magician and fighter. Her weak defense and attack prevents her from being a decent frontline character. It's best to keep her as a back row magician with some medicine. However, with the right rune and equipment, she can actually deal some pretty decent damage with her weapon.
