The Liolta Prairie (リオルタ平原; Rioruta Heigen) is a location in Genso Suikoden: The Woven Web of a Century.
Overview[]
Regius, investigating the location of Aaron following the battle at Akrites Great Wall, informed the Hero of the rumors about the location of a secret facility north of the Apiro Desert in Mt. Pregate. Before heading there, he was not able to confirm its existence or what kind of facility it was. Despite that, the Hero decided to head that way in order to catch Aaron.
In order to reach Mt. Pregate, the Hero and his group had to first pass through Liolta Prairie. They were attacked by a group of Beetle Grubs, and before leaving the area, a second larger group attacked. Luckily, Jagwan and his comrades were also chasing Aaron and arrived to help.
The Hero would return again, 100 years in the past, after Tsuomujin told him he was going to visit the area to collect poison. He told the Hero, in his own way, that he would introduce him to an arrow maker. When the Hero arrived, he found Tsuomujin and Mephitis. As Mephitis could not speak due to the damage the poison had done to her throat, Tsuomujin communicated for her. Tsuomujin told the Hero that if he brought some poisoned water from the hot springs that Mephitis would pass on her skill. Since the prairie is located near the active volcano Mt. Pregate hot springs had appeared. After bringing the poison to the pair, Tsuomujin told the Hero that Mephitis was made to work on these arrows by The Beetle Grubs. She fulfilled her promise and passed her skill to one of the arrow makers in the Hero's group.
The Hero returned one more time, after consulting Astrid about the House of Wisdom in her time. Maximos Zafir also told him that he would be able to find a swordsman there. He visited and met Syldis and Nolbanos who were investigating rumors of a strange monster in the area. After searching they determined that it was not a Telluspharma, but rather that someone had mistaken a regular monster for one. While investigating, the Hero was able to learn Syldis's skill, and Folune was able to learn from Nolbanos. The Hero also learned that the House of Wisdom had been holding Telluspharma since that time, but heard that they had plans to move them to another unknown location.
