Story[]
Game[]
Marlowe makes his first appearance when Riou and members of the New State Army meet with Gustav in Tinto City. At Gustav's request he shows them to the guest rooms of Gustav's manor where he expresses his admiration for Riou, even going as far to compare him to a hero of the kind of novels he reads.
After the events in Tinto, he joined the New State Army. During his residence at the castle, he started writing a biography of his new hero, Riou, which presumably he published at some point.
Following the conclusion of the war, he established a library in Tinto City and taught many children the love of learning.
Marlowe became the First Minister of the newly established Tinto Republic.
Role in the Game[]
Marlowe joins automatically after the events in Tinto.
Marlowe's function is unclear at this time.

Trivia[]
- In Suikoden III, one of the game NPC's mentions that Marlowe wrote a book about Neclord. The book is titled "Neclord: The Crucial Battle".
- During the Neclord event, if Riou chooses to run away with Nanami, Marlowe proves his bravery by holding off a horde of zombies with Koyu. They eventually attempt to rescue Lo Wen and Lilly from Neclord but ultimately fail.
