Mukumuku was born in Greenhill Forest. He is a flying squirrel who lived near the forest and acts as the hot-blooded, justice-driven leader of the Five Squirrel Squad. A childhood friend of Riou, Nanami, and Jowy, Mukumuku often visited the town of Kyaro.
He first met Riou during a martial arts training session. Mukumuku began mimicking Riou from behind, and Nanami, amused by the sight, snatched him from behind and, impressed by his soft fur, named him "Mukumuku". She later introduced him to Jowy as well.
When he grew up, he established the Five Squirrel Squad and named the rest of the Five Squirrel Squad members.

At the outbreak of the Dunan Unification War,, Mukumuku was found in a tree behind Genkaku’s dojo in Kyaro. He joined the party by chasing after the now-wanted Riou and later became a member of the New State Army. After the war ended, he reportedly returned to his forest home.

Wander the path from Greenhill to the Muse/Greenhill Border until he enters your active party. There must be a free spot in the party, and chances are higher if less people are in it. A True Holy Rune and a Champion's Rune can speed up the time it takes to get him in the party. Also, note that battles are not required, but rather standing still for over 30 minutes makes the chances better. This way is not recommended for the impatient, but is required for the remaining squirrel characters.
Despite his appearance, Mukumuku has very solid stats, as all monster-type characters. Mukumuku excels at strength, defense and speed, which compensates the fact he cannot equip any type of gear. Also, he is a long-range character, which can keep him safe in the back row, as his HP is lower than most monster characters.
