Mun-Tsang is the Chizoku Star in Suikoden Tierkreis.
Profile[]
Background[]
Mun-Tsang is a scribe member. Sometime just before or after Liu-Shen was born, she suggested that the Scribes leave the woods and actively resist The Order of the One True Way. However, no one in the tribe, not even Lao-Kwan, would listen to her ideas. So, she attempted to steal the Chronicle of the Tatau Council from Lao-Kwan and become the Elder. She failed, and as a result, her tattoos became red as a symbol of her crime. She was exiled from the woods and wandered the lands for decades thinking about her crime. At some point, she heard of Liu-Shen and that he was doing as she suggested. She learned that he was accepted by Lao-Kwan and even formally receive the Tatau Chronicle.

Game[]
Mun-Tsang met Sieg in Gineh Valley, then traveled to the Fortress Ruins to speak with Liu-Shen and ask him why he was able to succeed where she failed. She challenged him to battle, but was defeated. When she still could not understand why Liu-Shen had succeeded, Luo-Tao appeared to explain it to her. He explained that Liu had many friends, but that she was always alone - now and in the past.
Sieg later met Mun-Tsang again at Fort Arc. She asked Sieg to allow her the chance to speak with Liu again. When he arrived, she asked if he had used the chronicle at Fort Arc. She questioned him as to why he saved a young girl, Sophia, even though she was his enemy. She finally was able to understand the difference between them. She explained that the only thing she had in her was her sense of purpose telling her what she had to do as a Scribe. If she didn't love the world, she could not have felt the need to save or protect anyone or anything. Liu, on the other hand, was different and many ideas that she never had. She believed he gained this insight from leaving the woods and living with the people outside. She wondered if she would be able to share those ideas if she lived among people. With that, she joined Sieg and his group.
