This recipe was a specialty of the chef Retso's master. According to him, it was a true delicacy, a taste he had never found anywhere else. This is why Retso made it his goal to find the secret behind this dish. He travelled the world with his daughter Shun Min in order to expand his culinary knowledge and possibly find where to catch the Mythical Fish. He was running a thriving restaurant in Raftfleet when the Prince Freyjadour Falenas himself came to him one day, holding a strange and unknown fish he had caught in Ceras Lake. Retso immediately assumed that this very fish was the Mythical Fish his master used to make his wonderful Sashimi, so he took it and prepared a sashimi with its flesh. Unfortunately, the resulting taste was simply horrible and even the ever life-respectful Shun Min could not bring herself to finishing her share.
However, this setback did not discourage Retso who followed the Prince to his castle in the middle of Ceras Lake, in order to practice his techniques of sashimi on this fish. After many trials, Retso managed to find the secret of fabrication behind the Mythical Fish Sashimi and it became his most famous dish.
