Game[]
The Hero and his group first met Najin when they arrived in Fair Peak after they defeated the Wyvern at the Wyvern's Nest and were able to cross Epato Bridge. Najin was the owner of a shop there, and was an acquaintance of Bordon. Ilia Barukai and Meamei mistook him for a child, but he quickly informed them that he would be 28 that year.
After hearing how the Hero and his friends met Bordon, he explained that the people of the town used to hate the Holy Aionian Empire, but once the Scarlet Axe appeared, they changed their minds and started to fawn over the Aionians. He could not stand that as, while his town was safe, other towns, such as the village on Mt. Hioni and Martyrion were both destroyed by the Aionian Army. He admitted that he was charging the Aionians extra when they came to his store.
After the Hero and his party defeated the Telluspharma in the Ice Cavern, they once again stopped in Fair Peak to inform the Third Aionian army about what happened. Najin spotted them and asked them to come to his store. Utze gave him a book to pass to them. When they examined it they discovered that it was an old book and thus one of the Banned Books. Najin told them that they can meet Utze at the Melisma Prairie, and then he asked to join the Hero. He said that he didn't that his customers were Aionians or people with them. He wanted to make rings for people like the Hero and his friends. He wanted to help not the Aionians but the Hero and his group defeat the Scarlet Axe. If the Aionians defeated the Scarlet Axe they would get more power and more villages and towns would end up like his.
Upon hearing about the ring maker Neisa from Rodric, the Hero asked Najin to look around her workshop. He found a paper with Neisa’s signature. It seemed to be a note with an idea of a new technique, but there were some problems noted. It seemed as though it was not going well. Najin said he was thinking of leaving a ring he had forged behind. He thought that it might be unnecessary meddling, but that it could be some kind of a reference for her. The Hero agreed saying it might be of help.
Later, the Hero brought Najin to speak with Dagzum as she had something to show him. Najin said it was a guide for techniques for forging rings. It had Neisa’s name on it, so her research was completed. When the skill was passed on through the piece of paper Dagzum was surprised. She didn’t know that the skills could be passed that way as well. Najin commented that the problems she had noted on the paper from before were splendidly resolved. He continued that it would be nice if the ring he had left had been helpful.
