During the Dunan Unification War, she protected Riou from the ruffians in Kuskus and then she joined the New State Army. After the war, she stayed in the Nation of newly founded Dunan Republic and became captain of the bodyguards.
Genso Suikogaiden Vol. 2[]
She was later hired by Lepant to protect Sheena on his journey to Crystal Valley.
Role in the Game[]
Speak with the woman near the entrance of Kuskus to learn about the bandits attacking women. Exit and return with an all-female party and walk across the bridge. After a brief scene Oulan will save you and then can be asked to join your group.
- You can get Oulan prior to obtaining your headquarters, as soon as you're able to form an all female party.

- Despite being a hand-to-hand fighter and can only wear light armor, Oulan has the highest defense of all female characters in Suikoden II.
- Oulan is one of the three characters who have the battle animation based from Street Fighter's Ken (Other are Zamza and Shin), Her last strike from the Angry Dragon Rune has Shoryuken-like move and the name is also associated with Dragon.
