The Path to Matilda (マチルダ騎士団への抜け道, Machiruda Kishidan e no Nukemichi), also known as Road to Matilda, is a location in Suikoden II.
Overview[]
In the outskirts of Greenhill City, which was surrounded by a lot of greenery, there were several forest that could be used as bypaths. When Greenhill City was attacked by the Highland Kingdom during the Dunan Unification War, these natural bypaths were used.
The Erud Forest (エルドの森) is a sprawling wooded area on the way from Greenhill City to Rockaxe Town. This path is a portion of this forest, and the entrance is guarded by the Matilda Knights.

- While the name of this location is displayed as "Path to Matilda" when entering the area, Viki's teleportation service calls it "Forest Path (Greenhill-Matilda)", and Templeton's map displays it as "Forest Path".
- The Japanese name includes the word 抜け道 (Nukemichi) which can mean a bypath, byroad or a secret path.
- This location is also noted as being called 森の抜け道 (Mori no Nukemichi) in sources.
