The Queen of Obel was chosen by the Rune of Punishment to be its bearer after it had gone unborne for a long time in the Obel Ruins. The Queen tried to ignore the rune for a time but following a Kooluk attack on the Kingdom of Obel in 292, the royal entourage was attacked by pirates. With the battle going poorly and her husband and children in risk of capture and possibly death, the Queen used the Rune of Punishment to destroy the pirate fleet, killing herself in the process.
Her spirit lived on in the Rune of Punishment, providing protection to her son, Razro, when Brandeau turned the Rune of Punishment upon him. The chimes of her music box, which became a valued item of her daughter, Flare En Kuldes, stayed in Razro's memories even as he grew up in Razril.
