This is the complete list of all recruitable characters in Genso Suikoden: The Woven Web of a Century (also known as 幻想水滸伝　紡がれし百年の時; Genso Suikoden Tsumugareshi Hyakunen no Toki).

Recruitment in this game works differently from previous Suikoden games. There are only 18 total characters that you can use in battle. All of the characters you recruit in the past will pass on their skills to someone (as you get more recruits there are times when you can select which character - for example which spearman or which arrow maker), and some may help you by planting saplings from the Tree of Ages to introduce you to new characters. Some characters will also be dead and thus you will never meet them (which is why they do not have a character portrait on their page), while some are alive but you do not meet them.

If it is possible to select which playable character receives a skill, and both are in your party during the event, the game will automatically select. For example, if both Ducas and Hermione are in your party, Ducas will automatically get the skill. If Regius and Gijellega are in your party, Regius will get the skill.

The tablet of the stars is also not acquired until much later in the game.

If you are not following this guide in order, be advised that some characters cannot be recruited unless other characters have already passed their skill to you.

In order to travel to an area that is 200 years in the past, there will need to be a tree in that area 100 years ago as well. You cannot skip that step.

18	Badamkhatan	Joins at the Wyvern's Nest (100 years ago). If you don't receive his skill the first time, you can get it anytime later.
19	Ingolf	Talk to Rolf Raug at the Lake Fortress HQ (100 years ago). Talk to Ingolf in the Southwest area of Laros Forest (100 years ago). Talk to him again in Lucil Prairie (100 years ago), and then finally in the Southwest area of Laros Forest (100 years ago).
20	Yoful	Talk to him at Wyvern's Nest (100 years ago) after defeating the Wyvern.
21	Haydrec	Joins automatically during the events on Mt. Hioni (100 years ago).
22	Luceri	Joins automatically after the events on Mt. Hioni (present).
23	Cucabra	Press the four switches found on the first floor of the Ice Cavern. In the back room on the first floor a door will open. Go inside and examine the light. Meamei must be in your party.
24	Najin	Joins automatically after Ice Cavern (present).
25	Talcho	Head to the dining area in your HQ after Najin joins and watch the event.
26	Utze	Joins automatically in Melisma Prairie (present).
27	Regius	Joins automatically in Mt. Hioni West (present).
28	Dagzum	Anytime after being able to move to Goog Lewon talk to Badamkhatan at Wyvern's Nest (100 years ago). Talk to Dagzum in the Melisma Prairie (100 years ago) area. Go to the Ice Cavern and pick up the Frozen Stone in the room on the right on the basement floor (the room that connects to the area where you fought the Telluspharma). Take it to Dagzum in her house in Melisma Prairie (100 years ago).

30	Butruga	Joins automatically in Goog Lewon (present).
31	Biarga	After visiting Goog Lewon, return again and talk to the shopkeeper in the equipment shop. They will tell you about a hunter from their tribe that lived 100 years ago. Talk to Haydrec at Mt. Hioni (100 years ago). With Luceri in your party, talk to Biarga at Mt. Hioni West (100 years ago) (He has a house in the area near the library where you met Regius). He will ask you to bring him the meat from 10 of the Baihu enemy around (You must speak with him until he gives you this quest). After getting 10, go back to talk with him.
32	Scharf	Joins automatically in Tormarry (present).
33	Olmar	Talk to person at the Equipment shop in Goog Lewon (present) who will mention a human that loved the Feather Tribe. Talk to Biarga at Mt. Hioni West (100 years ago). Talk to Biaga in Sidus Forest (100 years ago) then examine the same place (the glowing crystal) in Sidus Forest (present).
34	Tserendulam	Joins automatically after you defeat her in a one-on-one battle at Martyrion Field (present). (See Tserendulam (boss))
35	Mudgala	Once you are able to move to the Ruined City of Martyrion, talk to the Shopkeeper at the market place in Goog Lewon (present). Talk to Biarga at Mt. Hioni West (100 years ago). Talk to Mudgala in Tormarry (100 years ago) with Regius in your party. You will then have to fight him before he teaches Regius his skill. (See Mudgala (boss)).
36	Wafdi	Talk to him at Hodos Village (100 years ago).
37	Modi	Joins automatically when you leave Hodos Village (present).
38	Mezwar	Speak to Wafdi at Hodos Village (100 years ago). Go to Hodos Village with Modi in your party (present).
39	Cadmus	Joins automatically after the events Underground Ruins once you return to the Ruined City of Martyrion (present).
40	Kauriya	Found on the 3rd screen of the Underground Ruins. You will need to have unlocked the doors there. Butruga or Zaveed must be in your party. (*This can be done before defeating the boss in this area if you bring Butruga, or leave the area and come back with him)
41	Hermione	Joins automatically in Perie Forest (present).
42	Berenice	Joins automatically with Warg at Tios Fortress. You must bring Myura and either Ducas or Hermione (if both are in your party, Ducas will inherit the skill) (100 years ago).
43	Warg	Joins automatically with Berenice, at Tios Fortress.
44	Folune	Joins automatically at Tios Fortress Ruins (present).
45	Lujin	Joins after you find the chest she left for you in the Tios Fortress Ruins (100 years ago).
46	Tsuomujin	1. Talk to Tsuomujin, then talk to Chamjin who is standing nearby. 2. Talk to Tsuomujin again, and chose whichever weaponsmith you want. 3. Talk to Chamjin one more time. 4. Equip at least one weapon that is smithed to its maximum levels by a weaponsmith at your HQ. (Note: can be done without max level) 5. Talk to him again and he will pass his skill to the weaponsmith you selected earlier.
47	Chamjin	After receiving the skill from Tsuomujin, talk to her again.
48	Mazarica	Talk to Berenice at Tios Fortress (100 years ago) then talk to Mazarica in Perie Forest (100 years ago). Chose the second option when presented, and ask her to teach you her skill. Fight the enemies in the area until you learn it.
49	Nima	Talk to Nima twice after you inherit the skill from Mazarica (100 years ago).
50	Sohrab	After the events at Apiro Hill, talk to Lujin at Tios Fortress (100 years ago). Put Meamei in your party (you must have recruited Cucabra first). Talk to Sohrab at Apiro Hill (100 years ago). After the scene where Meamei plays a song, he will want to write a new song. Rest at your HQ at least 3 times then talk to Sohrab again.
51	Bertha	After you get the skill from Sohrab, put Bordon or Jagwan in your party and talk to her at Apiro Hill (100 years ago). Fight nearby enemies until you learn her skill.
52	Sunil	Joins automatically in Apiro Desert (present).
53	Gombosuren	Speak with him after speaking to Jagwan the first time you go to the Giant Monster's Remains (present). He will say he is looking for a bone. You will find it on the eastern screen of this area, on the right side after you enter. Bring the bone to him and he will learn Trimalchio's skill and join at the same time.
54	Trimalchio	Joins automatically when you recruit Gombosuren at the Giant Monster's Remains (present).
55	Zephon	Joins automatically in the Apiro Desert (present) after the events with Astrid and the barrier.
56	Astrid	Talk to Astrid at Zephteros Fortress. You will need to bring Myura, who will have to win a fight against a Tellus Prova by herself.
57	Sau Jin	After getting Astrid's skill, talk to Sau Jin at Zephteros Fortress (200 years ago). Examine the stone slab with a glowing blue orb blue light at the Desert Fort Ruins (100 years ago). It is near the Tree of Ages and the vitality herb. **It is recommended that you do the recruitment quests for Sau Jin, Sou Jin, and Suu Jin together.
58	Sou Jin	1. After getting Astrid's skill, talk to Sou Jin at Zephteros Fortress. Learn about him from Sau Jin. 2. Rest at your HQ at least three times. Then talk to him again at the Fortress. 3. Check the glowing blue orb on the stone slab near the entrance lithograph near the entrance of the eastern area of the Desert Fort Ruins (100 years ago). **It is recommended that you do the recruitment quests for Sau Jin, Sou Jin, and Suu Jin together.
59	Suu Jin	After getting Astrid's skill, talk to Suu Jin on the eastern screen of Zephteros Fortress. Go to the eastern screen of the Desert Fort Ruins. Check blue light on the hole near where Suu Jin was standing (100 years ago). If you can't find it, change the camera angle to help you. Now, go back to the eastern screen on Zephteros Fortress and check the same spot (there are some plants growing there). Finally, go back to the eastern screen of the Desert Fort Ruins. You will find her stone slab near the entrance to the area. **It is recommended that you do the recruitment quests for Sau Jin, Sou Jin, and Suu Jin together.
60	Nelvaan	Talk to Nelvaan at the Desert Fort Ruins (100 years ago) after he tells you about the history of the Holy Aionian Empire (you can do this directly after the event battle after you first meet him).
61	Ketil	After receiving the skills from Nelvaan and Sau Jin, talk Chiaro and then Sau Jin twice at Zephteros Fortress (200 years ago). Go to Tios Fortress (200 years ago) and move towards Odo and Chiaro. Talk to Chiaro at Zephteros Fortress again, then go back to your HQ for a scene.
62	Gohse	Talk to Warg at Tios Fortress (100 years ago). Check the engraved words on the eastern wall (across from the Tree of Ages) in Tios Fortress Ruins (present).
63	Odo	Talk to Odo at Tios Fortress after getting Ketil's skill (200 years ago).
64	Chiaro	With Ilia Barukai or Modi in your party, talk to Chiaro at Zephteros Fortress after Odo gives you his skill.
65	Gijellega	Joins automatically at the Bayan Oasis (present).
66	Ephil	Accept her offer at the Weapon Shop in Bayan Oasis and she will join you.
67	Kelsius	Check the shining blue orb in the second area in the Pefto Ruins (present). (It is in a dead-end on the left side, near the middle of this area)
68	Jandac	After meeting Quinelia Lewis, speak to Jandac at Zephteros Fortress (200 years ago) in the eastern area. He is standing near Suu Jin.
69	Lascaris	Joins automatically in Akrites (present).
70	Ristil	Joins automatically in Akrites (present).
71	Yaguas	Talk to Yaguas in the Apiro Desert (100 years ago) with Lascaris in your party. He is standing in the middle of the area. He will then move and stand beside the Tree of Ages. Talk to him twice, then fight nearby monsters until Lascaris learns his skill.
72	Zaveed	Joins automatically at Akrites Great Wall (present).
73	Jagwan	Joins automatically in Liolta Prairie (present).
74	Radneen	After recruiting Jagwan, find Radneen at the Giant Monster's Remains (200 years ago) and win the duel.
75	Siu Jin	Talk to Siu Jin and Hugh at Apiro Desert (200 years ago). Talk to Siu Jin again after you are able to visit Mt. Pregate. (You must also have recruited Odo).
76	Numistro	Joins automatically in Akrites (present) after the events at the House of Wisdom.
77	Hugh	After the House of Wisdom, bring Ducas or Hermione to the Apiro Desert (200 years ago). Talk to him and fight monsters nearby until you master his skill.
78	Rodric	Talk to Siu Jin at Apiro Desert (200 years ago) and hear about an archer. Put Luceri in your party and go to Sidus Forest (200 years ago). Fight some of the nearby enemies until she learns his skill.
79	Seu Jin	After you learn Rodric's skill, talk to Seu Jin at Apiro Desert (200 years ago). Go to the Desert Fort Ruins (100 years ago) and check the blue light at the bottom right of the map (very close to the Tree of Ages).
80	Mephitis	Talk to Tsuomujin at Tios Fortress (100 years ago). Talk to Mephitis and Tsuomujin in the eastern area of Liolta Prairie (100 years ago). Check the blue light in the western area (in a pool of water with blue and purple smoke near the Tree of Ages), and then talk to Mephitis again.
81	Wofred	With Bordon or Jagwan in your party, talk to Odo at Tios Fortress (200 years ago). Go to Hodos Village (200 years ago) and get Wofred to teach you his skill.
82	Lete	1. After recruiting Seu Jin, talk to him again in the Apiro Desert (200 years ago) to learn about L'aquila. 2. Go to Apiro Hill (200 years ago) and talk to L'aquila. 3. Next talk Kleion there and give him the sapling. 4. Go to Perie Forest (200 years ago) and talk to Lete and Nikumba. 5. Go back to Apiro Hill and tell L'aquila what you learned. 6. Go to Perie Forest and watch the scene between Lete, Nikumba, and L'aquila. 7. Talk to Lete again with Zephon in your party. Fight some of the enemies nearby until you learn her skill (you should learn it after 3 tries).
83	L'aquila	1. After recruiting Seu Jin, talk to him again in the Apiro Desert (200 years ago) and he will introduce you to L'aquila. 2. Talk to L'aquila at Apiro Hill (200 years ago). 3. Then talk to Kleion (standing beside her). Give him a sapling. 4. Go to Perie Forest (200 years ago) and talk to Nikumba and Lete. 5. Go back to Apiro Hill and tell L'aquila what you learned. 6. Go to Perie Forest and watch the scene between Lete, Nikumba, and L'aquila. 7. Finally, go back to Apiro Hill and talk to L'aquila. She will pass her skill to either Folune or Gino.
84	Nikumba	After recruiting Lete, talk to Nikumba in Perie Forest (200 years ago).
85	Kleion	After Lete teaches you her skill, bring Zephon and either Meamei or Jansen and talk to Kleion at Apiro Hill (200 years ago).
86	Narcia	Talk to Nikumba at Perie Forest (200 years ago) after you have met Yuyudraya in Tios Fortress (200 years ago). Bring Butruga or Zaveed and go to library on Mt. Hioni West (200 years ago).
87	Peljid	After receiving Radneen's skill, talk to him again at Zephteros Fortress (200 years ago). Bring Ducas or Hermione and talk to Peljid in the eastern area of Zephteros Fortress. Fight enemies until you learn the skill.
88	Fridica	After receiving Mudgala's and Peljid's skills, take Regius to Zephteros Fortress (200 years ago). Walk to the exit to the world map on the eastern screen and you will see a scene. Regius will need to defeat Fridicia in a one-on-one battle. (See Fridica (boss))
89	Enghebatu	Talk to Peljid after you get her skill at Zephteros Fortress (200 years ago). You will need to talk to her twice, the second time selecting one of your weapon smiths. Talk to a Scaled Horde at the Giant Monster's Remains (present) (he is standing in front of a tent not far from the Tree of Ages). Go back to your HQ and go to the weapon workshop. They will receive the skill.
90	Satyaka	After meeting Narcia and obtaining Fridica's skill, take Regius or Gijellega to Mt. Hioni West (200 years ago). He will be on the third screen, near the exit to the area with the library. Fight nearby monsters until you learn the skill.
91	Syldis	After the events at the House of Wisdom, talk to Astrid at Zephteros Fortress (200 years ago). Talk to Syldis in the Liolta Prairie (200 years ago) then fight the nearby monsters until you learn her skill.
92	Nolbanos	After you get Syldis's skill, bring Myura, Ilia, Hermione, and Luceri to speak to him at Liolta Prairie (200 years ago). (Can be done just after you get Syldis's skill)
93	Jansen	Automatically join, Navarre East Coast (present).
94	Gwiney	Automatically joins, Shuraat Town (present).
95	Miriel	Talk to Miriel at Navarre East Coast (200 years ago).
96	Amaury	Bring Modi and talk to Amaury at Navarre East Coast (200 years ago).
97	Chikra	Talk to Mudgala at Tormarry (100 years ago) then talk to Chikra at West Tormarry (100 years ago).
98	Neisa	AFter Gwiney joins you, talk to Rodric in Sidus Forest (200 years ago). Then visit the house on Melisma Prairie (200 years ago). Go to Dagzum's house on Melisma Prairie (100 years ago).
99	Dililie	After Gwiney joins, put a member of the Feather Tribe in your party and talk to Astrid at Zephteros Fortress (200 years ago). With Meamei in your party, visit the house at Tormarry (200 years ago).
100	Youin	Talk to Rodric at Sidus Forest (200 years ago). Talk to Rodric at Martyrion Field (200 years ago) Talk to Wafdi at Hodos Village (100 years ago).
101	Wahn	Talk to Chikra at Martyrion Field (100 years ago) Bring Butruga and get Wahn to teach his skill at Southern Highway (100 years ago).
102	Yilin	Automatically join after you inherit the skill from Wahn at the Southern Highway (100 years ago).
103	Mozuromasu	Talk to Jandac at Zephteros Fortress (200 years ago). Bring Lascaris to talk to Numa twice at Southern Highway (200 years ago). Defeat the Immortal Sagittarius near the top right exit here and get the bow. Bring Lascaris to talk to Quinelia Lewis in Akrites (present) in the headquarters for the 2nd Branch.
104	Numa	After you inherit the skill from Mozuromasu, talk to Numa at Southern Highway (200 years ago).
105	Yuyudraya	After telling Torwald Albarek about Zooe Tower, talk to Sau Jin at Zephteros Fortress to hear about Yuyudraya. Then take Zaveed or Butruga to Tios Fortress (200 years ago) and get Yuyudraya to teach them her skill.
106	Domitia	After telling Torwald Albarek about the events at Zooe Tower, talk to Domitia at Mt. Hioni West (200 years ago). You will need to have at least one of each of the other five curse stones in your inventory.
107	Hortensius	After you inherit the skill from Domitia, talk to her again at the library on Mt. Hioni West (200 years ago). Talk to Hortensius on Mt. Hioni (200 years ago). Give 10 of each of these meats: Black Thigh Meat, Spotted Boned Rib, Crimson Breast Meat. Rest at your HQ for at least 10 days then come back to talk to Hortensius on Mt. Hioni (200 years ago).
108	Maximos	After learning the skill from Syldis and telling Astrid about the events at Zooe Tower, talk to Maximos at Zephteros Fortress (200 years ago). Bring Zephon to Apiro Desert to talk to Maximos and then defeat the Telluspharma in battle.
