Profile[]
Background[]
Obviously the first or only son of a man named Schtolteheim Reinbach I, the somewhat Machiavellian former lord of Middleport, Reinbach II was well known for his underhanded deals. A corrupt but skillful politician, Reinbach II hired many people, including Sigurd, the Blue Mercenary, and Red Mercenary as well as raise monstrous pets such as Little Daisy for protection in order to silence those who learned too much about the Middleport navy or the origin of their Rune Cannons. However, Reinbach II was not hesitant to silence even those who he considered his most trusted allies - when his former right hand man Sigurd decided to serve the pirate Kika rather than continue his employ under Reinbach II, Reinbach hired the assassin Keen to assassinate Sigurd, in hopes of preventing his former aide from ever spilling the secrets of Reinbach II's political career. Schtolteheim Reinbach II would even use force against those who did not agree to his requests, sending thugs against Millay, who fled Middleport rather than marry his son, Schtolteheim Reinbach III.

Schtolteheim Reinbach II benefited greatly from the Gaien-Kooluk War in SY 295. The Kooluk Empire, learning of Warlock's experiments in summoning Rune Cannon ammunition during the occupation of the island, refused to withdraw from Middleport unless it became independent from the Gaien Dukedom and allowed trade with the Kooluk Empire. Gaien, uneager to have a Kooluk territory so close to their mainland, quickly agreed, and Middleport became a lordship under the control of Reinbach II.
In SY 299, Middleport, under the control of Reinbach II, was mass producing Rune Cannons for the Kooluk Empire, shipping them via Orark Maritime Trade, a front for the Cray Trading Company. As Reinbach held little interest in the Middleport fleet, preferring to focus more on profit margins, the Middleport fleet quickly degenerated into corruption, behaving in a manner much like that of a group of pirates. Middleport continued to export Rune Cannons for years; in SY 302 Middleport, under Reinbach II's power, even recruited the Gaien Knights to guard a shipment of Middleport-made Rune Cannon shells, under the guise of transporting a vessel of spices for the Orark Maritime Trade; in reality, these Rune Cannon shells were designed for the gigantic Rune Cannon of El-Eal, and were used to destroy the nearby island of Iluya.
During the Island Liberation War, Middleport openly maintained a neutral stance, unwilling to align with either force in fear of it jeapordising the island's position of relative security. Once the Island Liberation Navy landed at Middleport, Reinbach II negotiated a similar deal to that used in the Gaien-Kooluk war, stating that the liberation movement would be free to conduct business on the island, but that Middleport would retain their neutrality.
Following the end of the Island Liberation War, Reinbach II stepped down from his post as lord of Middleport; his son, Reinbach III, would succeed him, with one of his first acts bringing an end to Middleport's long-held independence as the Middleport Lordship became an inaugural member of the new Island Nations Federation.
