Shinro is the grandson of the legendary Sairoh. He was raised by his grandfather and dreamed of, one day, being a merchant as great as Sairoh was. Shinro lost his parents at a young age and spent most of his time with his grandfather. This was the reason behind his desire to be just like his grandfather.

Shinro is the Chiyu Star in Suikoden V.

Profile

Appearance

Sairoh has brown hair, which he wears like a bun, holding it with a big hairpin. His clothes consist of the typical Raftfleet ricehat for sun protection, a green mantle, blue/white striped shorts and a pink belt made of cloth. He also wears the same black cloth protectors on his underarms and feet like many Raftfleet inhabitants.

Sairoh is also well-trained and muscular and carries a giant abacus with him.

Personality

Like his grandfather Sairoh, Shinro lives and breathes the world of commerce. He has a cheerful personality and knows how to make his costumers feel comfortable.

For him, his grandfather is his personal hero and he tries his best to surpass him businesswise.

Story

Suikoden V

Shinro joins the Prince's army when he sees how the Godwins hinder trade with their militant policies. Although he is quick to mention that he can't fight, he is able to give the Prince's army what they need to fight better.

The quirkiest thing about Shinro is the large abacus that he carries around with him. Many people think it's just to impress his customers and a conversation piece, but he actually does use it to factor change.

After the war, Boz opens up an open-door, trade expansion policy to help with foreign business. Shinro builds a business along with Armes, and watches the profits skyrocket.

Shinro adds the Trade In ability that allows you to sell items in your inventory.

Shinro opens an item shop in the Ceras Lake Castle

Shinro adds the Extra ability to a military unit which allows the unit to use their first special ability one additional time.

1. Shinro´s an energetic young man. He used to have an item shop in Raftfleet. His dream is to one day become a great merchant like his grandfather Sairoh.
2. You know, I thought he carried that huge abacus around just to impress his customers. I was wrong -- he really does use it to figure change. How strong IS he?
3. Both his parents died when he was little. His grandfather Sairoh´s been his only family ever since. Come to think of it, it was right after Shinro´s parents -- Sairoh´s son and his wife -- died that SAIROH retired.
