Shun Min is the Chisyu Star in Suikoden V.

Shun Min is Retso's daughter and she always assist him in his restaurant. Her late mother taught her to raise fish.

During the Sun Rune War, Shun Min and her father were working at the Raftfleet's Inn. Freyjadour Falenas came and asked her father to join in the Loyalist Army. His father was flattered by the offer but could not accept it right away because he was on a mission to create the Mythical Fish Sashimi.
After Freyjadour brought the Strange Fish that is a required ingredient for creating the Mythical Fish Sashimi, her father gladly accepted it and Shun Min from the kitchen came happily knowing that her father have the Mythical Fish. After her father prepare the Mythical Fish Sashimi, Shun Min don't feel good after eating it because it has a terrible taste. Her father told her not to eat anymore because it is making her sick, but Shun Min can't just let the poor fishie go to waste, so she finish eating it. Afterwards, at Retso's request Freyjadour brought Retso and Shun Min to the place where he got the Mythical fish. Her father feel disappointed but Shun Min cheer him up and told him that he will become the greatest chef in the world and he can be even better than his master and Freyjadour will keep them safe in Ceras Lake Castle. After this they accept Freyjadour's offer.
At the castle, Shun Min raise fish that help's Retso to expand her menu. After the war, she grows into a fine young beauty, falls in love with a chef known as Hai Yo.
Suikoden II[]
When her father became a member of the Black Dragon Clan, she met Jinkai whom he mistrusted. Her father had a dream that people would learn the true beauty of cooking. Nothing could make a chef happier. Jinkai told to his father that he had that same dream, so her father and Jinkai conceived of the "Dragon Plan" and use the Moon Bird Recipe to fulfill their dream. Shun Min discovered that Jinkai's plan was just to fulfill his lust for power, she and Hai Yo didn't like it. To stop Jinkai's plan, she stole the Moon Bird Recipe, but was killed by Jinkai's thugs, but before she died she manage to give the Moon Bird Recipe to Hai Yo. Her body was buried in the Black Dragon Island, after several years Hai Yo visited and layed flowers on her grave.
Role in the Game[]
She is recruited along with Retso. After the coronation ceremony and your HQ is upgraded (combined scene), talk to Retso and learn about the Mythical Fish Sashimi. Catch a Strange Fish in Subala's Fishing mini-game and bring it back to Retso in the Raftfleet's Inn.
Shun Min can raise fish at your castle to expand Retso's menu.
Shun Min adds the Cook ability that allows you to receive more food items after battle.
Shun Min adds the Nourish ability to a military unit that allows a stationary unit to gradually recover health.
- Shun Min is Retso´s daughter. She helps him in his restaurant. I heard her late mother taught her to raise fish.
- The restaurant customers all say that they always finish their food, even if they have to force it down. That´s because, if they don´t, Shun Min looks at them with such big, sad eyes...
- She told me if she ever gets married. It´ll only be to someone who cooks better than her father does. She may stay single for quite a while...
