The Sidus Forest (シダスの森; Shidasu no Mori) is a location in Genso Suikoden: The Woven Web of a Century.
Overview[]
The Hero and his friends first passed through the area on their way to Goog Lewon where they wanted to ask the Feather Tribe for help in their battle. Upon entering they found one member of the tribe being questioned by several members of the Holy Aionian Army. After defeating them, the trapped Feather Tribe member, Ouya, agreed to accompany them to Goog Lewon.
The Hero later returned to the area, 100 years in the past, after a shopkeeper and Biarga told him about a ring maker who moved there because he loved the Feather Tribe. Unfortunately the ring maker, Olmar had already died when the Hero arrived. Luckily, thanks to both Olmar and Najin being stars of destiny, Olmar's skill was passed down.
Much later the Hero return once again, this time to visit the archer Rodric 200 years in the past. Rodric was there testing how to properly use arrows designed by Seu Jin. He taught Luceri his skill and was able to prove that Seu Jin's arrows were not the problem, it had been that people did not know how to correctly use them.

Notes[]
- Sidus, written in katakana as シダス, means star, constellation, or night sky in Latin. It is also the name of two ancient towns: one in Corinthia and one in Ionia. The plural form is Sidera which was used for several ancient towns as well as moons.
- The Japanese name for this location is シダス. シダ can mean fern or fernery, so it is possible that this location may be a play on that.
