- "Boy who belongs to the Citro Village Defense Corps. He has no family, but Elder Rajim has been like a father to him."
- —In-Game Character Description
Sieg is the main character and Tenkai Star in Suikoden Tierkreis. Though his name is selectable by the player, his name is confirmed to be Sieg. He is the leader of the Starbearers, and one of the first four members of Viele Wege Company, along with Liu, Jale, and Marica.
The baby boy was accepted by Elder Rajim and was named Sieg. For the next 15 years, Sieg grew up in Citro Village, Sisuca and Rajim as his acting parents. He soon also becomes friends with young Jale and Marica.
When Sieg was 12, he met a young boy named Liu, whom he became friend.
At some point in his village life, Sieg and his friends became members of the Citro Village Defense Corps, along with the older Dirk. While in the Corps, Dirk taught him how to fight, and Sieg soon became a capable fighter.
Sieg is very hard headed and stubborn, being called the most immature Suikoden hero by fans. Despite this, he is a great leader and will stand up for what he believes in with no second thought at all. (Such is the reason why he became the Leader of the Starbearers).
Though Sieg is impulsive, he is not at all unintelligent, as one may think. He has many things planned in advance, like his friend Liu, and does his best to make sure everyone is okay. If the situation becomes serious, Sieg knows to lose his carefree attitude and adjust to the mood of the moment.
Role in The CompanyEdit
Sieg is the "Leader of the Starbearers", leading the other Starbearers to battle. He is advised by Liu, but usually makes his own choices anyways. As he's described by his comrades, no one is more suitable as a leader than him.
At the beginning Sieg and Liu are getting ready for Laggart hunting. After meeting Marica, Jale, Dirk and Elder Rajim they head off to Laggarts Lair to check why the Laggarts act aggressively, while they are doing their Laggart hunting a sudden glow of light appear and the valley become a forest.
After the light is gone, their memory about the valley is gone and they started to think that the valley is always a forest. Thinking that the Laggarts nest is on the deeper part of the forest, they went deeper inside the forest ruins.
Inside the forest ruins they fought a Skull Guts a monster they never seen before. The monster are strong and hard to defeat so they went deeper inside the forest ruins. They found a book which Sieg, Marica and Jale touch, the three saw a vision of a people fighting, after this they gain a skill which help them to defeat the Skull Guts. After defeating the Skull Guts they talk about the skills and vision Sieg, Marica and Jale have seen and use, Liu touch the book but he told "He never see a vision or he feel get any power."
As they are walking on their way home, Sieg, Marica and Jale remembers that the forest is a valley before, while Liu and Dirk doesn't even remember. As they reach Citro Village, Dirk left the group and Liu, Sieg, Marica and Jale head out again to look for Marica's look alike. They fought a renegade a monster that are new to them and they cannot defeat it, Marica's look a like came and help them. After dealing with the Marica's look alike and renegade. Sieg, Marica and Jale decided to go to Cynas to find more about the book they found in the Forest Ruins, while Liu went back alone at the Citro Village and told Elder Rajim what his friends are doing.
In Cynas, they went to the library where they meet Diadora who suggest them to leave the books, but Sieg decided not to and went out of the library. As they made their way out of the City. Sieg and his company was chase by Fergus and Conon but they were save by an Austel Folk name Vaslof. Sieg and the comapany also learn that Valfred the head of The Order of the One True Way, wants the Citro Village under their control and send their troops to Citro Village.
Before the Order troops arrive, Sieg decided to protect the village and stay at the Fortress Ruins to defend it. With Liu's advise Sieg and the company hold onto the fortress until an unexpected reinforcement from the Magedom of Janam arrive and help them.
After the Fortress Ruins defense is susccessful, the two strong captain of the Magedom introduce themselves, Asad and Chrodechild. As the leader of the company Sieg decided to forge an alliance between the Magedom and Viele Wege Company. They head off to Magedom and meet the Mage Lord, Emperor Danash VIII.
As the alliance goes on and Sieg doing business and Quest for the Magedom, Sieg notice the Mage Lord's trickery, which is "Rivalry." The Mage Lord made his three wives to compete with one another for them to contribute more for the Magedom and he is doing it between's Chrodechild Blades of Night's Veil and Sieg's Viele Wege Company.
Liu, Hotupa and most of the Blades of Night's Veil fall on the Mage Lord's trick but Sieg's clear the air with them. After the incident in Ladzaa Fortress, the Mage Lord put the blame on the Blades of Night's Veil and detain them in the Mage City. As a result, this ends the alliance between the Magedom and Viele Wege Company. Sieg's leaves the Magedom with Asad, princess Manaril, Chrodechild and the entire Blades of Night'Veil.
As the fight against the Order goes on, Sieg gain's more ally and victories. After the battle against The One King, he still always rushing around, leading the company.
Different World TheoryEdit
When Cougar joins Viele Wege Company, Hotupa mentions that people who use Gateways to go to other worlds must use the same Gateway to be able to enter other worlds. After hearing this, Sieg then jumps to the conclusion that he must be from another world, as he cannot use any Gateways he has come across. To his dismay, he never could prove this.
Nearing the end of the game, Atrie visits once again. He tells Sieg of how a great warrior from the world of the Shining Legacy had a baby with his wife. However, during a Gateway accident, the baby was lost and was nowhere to be found.
Though Atrie does not say this directly, it is hinted that this may apply to Sieg's case. This "accident" may explain why he is unable to use Gateways, and cannot kill Renegades.
This theory is hinted even earlier in the game when The Castle expands. Jale and Marica find strange clothes within a room that seem to fit Sieg, and naturally, he tries them on. In the clothes, he looked very similar to a warrior shown in a Chronicle's vision. This is further hinted at when Marica says, "That person we saw in the vision was... Wearing something like this, right?! Maybe it was just a coincidence?"
Role in the GameEdit
Due to the fact that Sieg is the hero and/or main character of the game, he is automatically recruited and cannot be removed, except for missions in the other worlds, where he can't be added.
