Subala is the Chikei Star in Suikoden V.

Subala is a lively young girl from Raftfleet. When she was younger Lun and Subala were friends, but she's convinced Lun stole her "first love". Ever since then Subala act's like she is Lun's rival. According to a message in the comment box by the prince's room, the object of her affection is one of Shinro's friends, but Subala is convinced he's interested in Lun - according to Shinro, it's actually Kisara he fancies, so the whole rivalry is due to a big mix up.
Appearance[]
Subala has short, spiky purple hair with goggles wore like a hairband. Her weapon of choice is a trident. She wears bike shorts and chest bindings, the same as Lun.

During the Sun Rune War, she met Freyjadour Falenas with Lun in Raftfleet and Freyjadour asked her join the Loyalist Army. She joined after Freyjadour beat her in a fishing contest at Ceras Lake Castle. She ran a fishing mini-game in the castle. After the war, she became a fisherwoman in search of the Big One. She disappears at sea one day, but everyone knows that she's safe.
Role in the Game[]
After the restoration of Lordlake, bring Lun to meet her in Raftfleet. Beat Subala in an incredibly easy fishing game to make her join.
Subala and Lun work like Cius and Lelei: While Lun is the jack-of-all-trades with magic abilities (like Lelei), Subala is the more "in the face" kind of character. She is a good spear user that actually pairs well with Lun because of their unite attack.
She gets two open rune slots, so fitting her with a glass cannon kind build is a possible way to make her work. Unfortunately, like all the Raftfleet characters over the course of the game, she loses the power struggle to the more damaging characters like Goesch or Nick.
Subala is useable if you need some damage in M-range, but there are plenty of options that you could rely on if you don't want to use her.

Subala gives two uses of the Charge ability to the military unit she accompanies.
- Subala used to be a fisherwoman in Raftfleet. She's even rougher and coarser than Lun -- And by that I mean, she's a very energetic, kind individual. Really.
- Her fishing skill put men to shame. It's hard to believe with her build, but she can pull in enormous fish as if they were nothing. Retso used to buy fish from her and serve them up in his resturant.
- The reason she acts like Lun's rival is because Lun stole her first love away. Well, that's what she says. Meanwhile, Lun says she doesn't remember anything about that. That sort of thing happens when you're young I guess.
