In a Famitsu interview published on March 4, 2025, the director and producer discussed how they are approaching the adaptation process. They explained that scene reviews are conducted alongside the writers, and the production staff to determine how the anime should depict key moments. According to them, the team is carefully considering whether certain game scenes should be faithfully adapted or if they should be reinterpreted to offer a fresh perspective unique to the anime.
The challenge of including all 108 characters was also addressed. While they acknowledged the difficulty of giving every character a speaking role, they emphasized their desire to feature as many as possible. Some may appear in key sequences such as the opening, ending, or eyecatches, ensuring their presence in the adaptation.
Regarding the structure of the anime, they clarified that it won’t follow a party-based format like the game, where players can freely select party members. Instead, characters will appear in locations that naturally fit their role in the story. The narrative will center around the protagonist, Jowy, and Nanami, with other members of the 108 Stars of Destiny included based on their significance to the plot.

There is some speculation about which characters will appear.
