He also appears in Genso Suikogaiden Vol. 1.

Background

Templeton is a young boy with a dream of mapping the world. He is an intrepid Map Maker.

Story

Suikoden I

Before the Gate Rune Wars, Templeton was a mapmaker from age 11, but hated having to update maps when towns were destroyed by war. When he met Tir at the burned Village of the Elves, he joined the Liberation Army in order to help bring a stop to the war. After the war, Templeton departed for the sea to search for the end of the world.

Suikoden II

During the Dunan Unification War, Templeton encountered Riou at Viktor's ruined fortress, but when his entry was denied by the guard, he headed to Toto. Upon seeing the decimation there, he joined Riou in order to help bring an end to the war. After the war, Templeton returned to Toran, then traveled again to discover the edge of the world.

Templeton joins Tir when spoken to at the Burnt village of the Elves.

Templeton entrusts the Suiko Map to Tir, allowing Tir to see where he is on a mini world map.

Templeton can be found first at Viktor's ruined fort, then followed to Toto. Speaking to him there can get him to join.

Templeton once again entrusts the Suiko Map to Riou, allowing the player to see a minimap on the screen. You can also talk to Templeton to get a short description of the locations in the game.
