The Battle to Retake Muse City (ミューズ市奪還戦; Myuuzu-shi Dakkan Sen), also known as the Battle of Muse or Siege of Muse (ミューズ市攻防戦; Myūzu-shi Kōbō-sen), is an army battle in Suikoden II.
Description[]
The Battle to Retake Muse City is the second battle fought over Muse during the Dunan Unification War. It was an attempt by the New State Army to reclaim Muse City. This time, the numerically superior New State Army overwhelmed the Highland forces. The Highland army withdrew early, leaving behind the Karaya Clan, allowing the New State Army to enter Muse City with ease. However, the city had already been transformed into a cursed place overrun by Golden Wolves, the familiars of the Beast Rune. As a result, the New State Army was ultimately forced to abandon Muse City.
