The Second Defense of the Mercenary Fortress (ビクトールの砦攻防戦2; Bikutooru no Toride Koubousen2), also known as Battle at the Mercenary Fortress (傭兵砦攻防戦; Youheitai no Toride Koubousen) was an army battle in Suikoden II. It is the second battle in the game.
Description[]
Viktor, Flik, and Apple, along with Riou and Jowy, were able to successfully complete the first battle of the war, Defending the Mercenary Fortress,
Assuming the depleted Highland army would launch a second wave two days later, the mercenaries took a brief rest and began preparing for the next battle.
However, Luca unexpectedly launched a rapid surprise assault, catching the mercenaries off guard and easily overwhelming their unsteady defenses. As a result of this defeat, Viktor’s mercenary forces were forced to retreat to Muse.
In Game[]
Apple will ask you if you remember the commands at the beginning. The other allied units will be controlled by her. After a few turns, Luca Blight will show up with several extra units. Once one of these units enters the fort, the battle is over.
