The Wild Boar (いのしし; Inoshishi OR ワイルドボー; Wairudo Boo) is a recurring enemy in the Suikoden series.
As the name suggests it looks like a wild boar, and it is thought to be a wild boar that has gone savage or berserk. During the Toran Liberation War it was spotted on Mt. Seifu, and during the Dunan Unification War, it frequently appeared on the path to Tsai’s house. They are both thought to be of the same species, but the latter ones are said to have a higher vitality. From the corpse of the former, there are reports that an Earth Rune Piece, which was very rare at the time, could be found.
Suikoden I[]
The Wild Boar frequently appeared in the area around Gregminster (and on Mt. Seifu), and is thought to be a wild boar that has gone savage or berserk. It doesn’t have a special attack, but the strong charge attack it did would blow its target away.

In Suikoden II, the WildBoar is found lurking on the mountain roads in the Ryube Forest leading to Tsai's house. It is considerably more ferocious than a regular wild boar, to say the least, and when it finds its prey, it launches a powerful charge attack while sticking out its two tusks. It does a physical-short-range attack against one party member.

Notes[]
- In Suikoden, there is another enemy that is called ワイルドボー in Japanese, which uses the katakana for Wild Boar. However, the English version changed it to Death Boar.
- In Suikoden V, the Japanese name changes to ワイルドボー, which reads "Wild Boar". In the other games it was いのしし which also means "Wild Boar".
