The Wind Rune is a type of rune in the Suikoden series. It is one of the elemental familiars of the Five Elements. By equipping it, the wielder can freely control wind, using both offensive and healing magic.
Description[]
It allows the use of wind magic, which consists of healing and offensive spells. The Wind Rune has appeared in every main Suikoden game. When a Wind Orb is attached to a character by a runemaster, it becomes a Wind Rune. There is also a stronger version called the Cyclone Rune.
Suikoden I[]
- Wind of Sleep (ねむりの風): Cast sleep on all enemies.
- The Shredding (切りさき): 400 damage to 1 enemy.
- Healing Wind (いやしの風): Heal 1 ally.

- Wind of Sleep (ねむりの風): Put 1 row of enemies to sleep.
- Healing Wind (いやしの風): Fully heal 1 ally.
- The Shredding (切り裂き): 450 damage to all enemies.
- Storm Warning (あらしの予感): Reflect attack spell back on caster.
Suikoden III[]
- Wind of Sleep: 60% chance of sleep for target and enemies in area.
- Healing Wind: Restore 300 HP and status of 1 ally.
- The Shredding: 250 damage to all enemies.
- Funeral Wind: 300 damage to 1 enemy and chance of instant death.
Suikoden IV[]
- Wind of Sleep: Put all enemies to sleep.
- Healing Wind: Restore HP and cure status of 1 ally.
- The Shredding: 300 damage to all enemies.
- Funeral Wind: 300 damage and possible instant death to 1 enemy.
Suikoden Tactics[]
- Wind Force: Change elemental terrain to Wind Element.
- Wind of Sleep: Chance to put enemies in area to sleep + changes terrain.
- Healing Wind: Heal all units within area + changes elemental terrain.
- The Shredding: Damage all units within spell range. Changes elemental terrain.

- Wind of Sleep: Cast sleep on all enemies (20%).
- Healing Wind: Fully restore HP and cure status of 1 ally.
- The Shredding: 200 damage to all enemies.
- Funeral Wind: 300 damage or instant death (50%) to all enemies.
