The Wooden Amulet (木ぼりのお守り/木彫りのお守り; Kibori no Omamori) refers to two different items in two different games, as well as an item that can be used for trading.
Suikoden II[]
When Riou and Jowy go to Toto Village (after being rescued by Viktor and Flik) Pilika asks the two friends to get her a wooden amulet that she saw in an item shop at Muse City. Pilika wanted to present the gift to her father Marx as a birthday present and entrusted her precious 70 potch to Riou and Jowy to buy the amulet. Due to Prince Luca Blight's destruction of Toto and the genocide of its people, including Marx and Joanna (Marx's wife and Pilika's mother), the Wooden Amulet never had the opportunity to be gifted. Poetically, the Wooden Amulet was used later as a ruse in the Dunan Unification War to distract Luca Blight during the Battle with the White Wolf Army as it had been filled with fireflies; this allowed the New State Army's archers to rain a volley of arrows upon Luca.
Suikoden IV[]
On the eve of the Battle of El-Eal, Rene, Noah, and Rita presented Razro with a Wooden Amulet as the three felt sorry that Razro had been burdened with the Island Liberation War.
