- The Japanese name for this recipe is 激辛焼きそば which translates to very hot/spicy yakisoba. Yakisoba are fried noodles, usually prepared with vegetables and meat. They are not made with actual soba noodles, but instead use a noodle made from wheat flour. They are quite similar to lo mein, but the sauce is slightly different.
- The dish named Fried Noodles should be called Yakisoba.
