Youin (ヨウィン; Yowin) is the Chimou Star in Genso Suikoden: The Woven Web of a Century.

An arrow craftsman from Martyrion. Though participating in the preparation to fend off against Telluspharma's interception, in the middle of it, Youin was struck with the sudden thought, "what's so fun about living like this?". Went missing after the war ended.

During the first Telluspharma Interception War, Rodric noticed that the archers fighting at Zephteros Fortress were not having good results when using arrows made by Seu Jin. He reported it to his superiors. After the war, he went to Sidus Forest to test how to use arrows, believing that maybe the arrows were actually good and the technique to use them was lacking. He asked Youin to copy Seu Jin's arrows.
Sometime later, the Hero visited Rodric who asked if the Hero remembered the arrows he used with Luceri when working on the technique. He explained that they were made by Youin and offered to introduce the Hero to him. He explained that just because Youin made imitation arrows does not mean he is a second or third-rate craftsman. He did that because Rodric unreasonably asked him to do it. Rather, it should be said that he is an amazing craftsman who can break down anything.
Rodric took a sapling and planted it in West Tormarry. Unfortunately, by the time the Hero arrived, Youin was not there. Rodric explained that Youin had run away. Youin was an eccentric person who was the type to do as he pleased. When Rodric told him about the Hero, he said he didn't want to meet him and cleared out. Youin didn't want to meet people from the future and know even a little about the future. Knowing what was coming would make living become boring. The Hero replied that it was something that he could understand, although it might be strange for him to say it.
Rodric continued that Youin was heading west, but he didn't think he was going to go far. Probably he would just go to Martyrion or Hodos Village. However, even if they did find him, it would probably be difficult to meet. He then apologized for sending them on a fool's errand. The Hero said it couldn't be helped and thanked him for planting the sapling there.
The Hero traveled to Hodos Village 100 years in the past and met Wafdi. He showed Ephil and Ouya an old arrow that he found in the storehouse in the village. He said that it looked a little different from regular arrows, but unfortunately it was quite worn. When he had asked the elders in the village, they explained that in the past, a bow and arrows craftsman named Youin had come to the village and probably left the arrow.
Although the arrow was worn and the condition was too bad to know how to make it, both Ephil and Ouya were able to learn how to do so through the power of the stars of destiny. Wafdi was jealous and asked them to please teach him.
