Yula is a swordswoman who wears a traditional samurai clothes.

Yula possessed a mysterious, humble, and calm personality. She is also shown to be a respectful and a strong swordswoman who gained praise from the Princesses of Astrasia.

Yula could be found at Main Street Pharamond at the first time. Sieg needs Chrodechild in his party to trigger the conversation with Yula. She will ask her about where she comes from and who she really is, though Yula gives rather cryptic answers.
Yula told her that she would be honored to have a duel with the princess Chrodechild. Chrodechild arrived at Paramond, and she was glad to show her the power of Divine Edge, and the player would have to defeat her.
After defeating Yula, Chrodechild asked her to join the company, and she agreed.
You can challenge Yula as many times as you want until you finally beat her. She will always be in the Main Street leading up to the castle.
After the events of Suikoden Tierkreis, she goes back to the Empire of the North Star due to a civil war breaking out.
After returning from Woodland Village, add Chrodechild in the party and go to Pharamond castle. Talk to Yula, and Chrodechild will have a duel with her. After defeating her, and after she touches the chronicle, she will join.
